100% Wild Sharp-tail Grouse, Pheasant and Hungarian Partridge.

With over 100,000 acres of private land to choose from you are sure to find the perfect piece of cover to fit your needs. Sharp-tailed Grouse and Pheasant are the primary birds of choice in this area but there are also opportunities for Hungarian Partridge. Our season runs from the first of September through the first half of December. If you've always dreamed of taking a step back in time to chase prairie birds in Montana we have just the hunt for you!

• 12-1pm Lunch

• 1-4pm Hunt (Depending on weather and temperature)

Amenities

Our hunts are all inclusive. Guests stay in fully furnished Canvas wall tents, equipped with carpeted floors and real beds. There is nothing quite like sipping coffee by a crackling wood stove while anticipating the days hunt. Shower up after a day in the field before you enjoy another delicious home cooked meal. Overall this a very fun and unique hunt that you are sure to enjoy.

• Guide: You will be hunting with an experienced guide each day.

• Food: Three well prepared meals a day as well as refreshments. If you would like Wine or Liquor please plan to bring your own.

• Lodging: We have a beautiful camp set into the heart of the Western badlands, if hunting 1x1 you will have a tent to yourself or if coming with a partner you will be two in a tent. We provide all the bedding you will need. Pack as if you were staying in a hotel.

• Meat Preparation: We will clean and freeze your birds for transportation.

  .

• Additional Opportunities: You have the option of fishing our local waters or you can shoot prairie dogs near camp. We have equipment for you to use for both. These are activities are free of charge with the exception that you will be charged for ammo used and tackle lost.

  What's Not Included?

  • Gratuities: $300-500 *tips can make up 50% of your guide and cooks total earnings for the year. They work from dusk till dawn to give you the best hunt possible so every dollar is hard earned and greatly appreciated.

  • Travel to/from camp: We do not offer Airport shuttles as we are 3 hours from Billings and it is simply not feasible for us. If you are flying you will need to rent a vehicle and drive to camp. A 4x4 is not required.

  • Montana Hunting License: A three day upland hunting license w/ state lands is required Click Here to Purchase

  • Ammunition: We recommend #6 & #7.5 shot for early season and #6 & #5 shot for late season upland hunting.

*** Please add $500 to your hunt price for each non-hunting companion. We ask for you to limit non-hunting companions to one for each hunter.

Please note: All hunters must be accompanied by a guide while in the field. We do not accept trespass fees or offer semi-guided hunt options.
